Mama Isa's Cooking School Logo
Create a logo for Mama Isa, an Italian chef who hosts private cooking classes out of her home in Padua. She is one of three certified pasta chefs by the country of Italy, and her cooking classes have been featured in the New York Times. The logo needs to reflect the food she cooks and intimate nature of her private classes.
I created a hand lettered script for her name that was inspired by the long ribbons of pasta Mama Isa cooks and the vintage neon signage seen in Italian trattorias. Italian food packaging design inspired my color choices, and red and yellow are colors traditionally used in food advertising, because they stimulate appetite. The hand lettering reflects Mama Isa's homemade food and private class setting.
